The annual Holiday Christmas Parade kicked off the holiday season with thousands of people lining the streets of Alpena to watch as the Alpena High marching band, floats and Santa Claus made their way along the parade route.
After the parade, lighting of the Christmas tree at Culligan Plaza sponsored by Hospice of Michigan and the Alpena DDA took place.
