HILLMAN - The Brush Creek Mill will present a dinner and theater production of "It's a Wonderful Life." A group of local actors known as the Brush Creek Mill Players will perform a classic radio-style version of the play under the direction of Bob Tulgetske.
Mill coordinator Edith Lennox said the group started voice auditions on Sept. 21, and have been working together since to put on this year's production.
"The play we are putting on is an old-fashioned radio-style play," she said. "Several people have sit in on the rehearsals and loved it. I've heard the actors are doing a fabulous job."
A homemade dinner of lasagna - regular and meatless options - garlic bread, salad, desserts, and beverages will be served prior to the performance. The 2012 dinner/theatre of "It's a Wonderful Life" will take place Nov. 10 at the Hillman Elementary School gym. The doors will open at 4:15 p.m., and dinner will be served at 5 p.m.
"This is one of those stories that everyone knows and loves, it's an excellent way to kick off the holiday season," Lennox said.
To purchase advanced tickets for $9 call the mill at 742-2527, or pick them up in Hillman at Lickety Splits, Northern Styles Hair Salon, or any of the Montmorency County libraries. Tickets also will be available at the door for $12.
