Susewitz would help move Alpena forward

November 1, 2012
The Alpena News

Time is running out for voters to gather information and make their final decisions before heading to the polls. While there seems to be an infinite amount of information out there about the presidential candidates, those running for Congress, and the state representative race, it can be slightly more difficult to find information concerning those running for local government.

Jorden Susewitz is running for Alpena County Commissioner District 1. Over the years I have had the opportunity to get to know Mr. Susewitz on a multitude of levels. He has been a classmate, a co-worker, a business partner, and friend. I have lived in Alpena County my entire life and have yet to find an individual who has more passion and drive to make Alpena a better place. Somewhere businesses and people want to migrate to. Somewhere tourists come to visit and enjoy everything the area has to offer. Somewhere his children, and your children or grandchildren, can call home because they don't have to leave the area in order to find work.

Mr. Susewitz has been a member of the fair board, planning committee, and has been involved with the development of several other events and projects aimed at drawing tourists to the area and boosting the local economy. He is an active member in his church, and coached local youth hockey. He also owns and operates his own forestry business. Most importantly he is a caring husband and father, and an individual who truly has the best interest of our current and future community at heart. If you elect Jorden Susewitz as County Commissioner, I can guarantee he will work with the citizens of Alpena and other members of the local government to get Alpena moving in the right direction for our future and our children's future.
