Natalie Rae Werda and William Paul Burns, of Zion Crossroads, Va., exchanged their wedding vows July 28, 2012 at the home of the bride's mother and stepfather. The 2:30 p.m. double-ring ceremony was held outdoors in Ossineke and officiated by Doug Bliss.

The bride is the daughter of Ray and Laura Werda of Alpena and Jean and Larry Hanner of Ossineke. The groom is the son of Tammy Hammer of Greenville and Larry and Jackie Burns of Greenville.

Attending the bride as maid of honor was her cousin, Aubry Langlois of Interlochen. Amy Dziesinski of Alpena, cousin of the bride, served as bridesmaid.

Attending the groom were his brothers, Eric Hagen, serving as best man, and Larry Burns, serving as groomsman, both of Greenville. Serving as ushers were Eric Werda of Knoxville, Tenn., brother of the bride, and Matthew Price of Ferndale, friend of the bride. Natalie and Bill also chose to include their two beloved miniature schnauzers, Bogart and Roentgen, to serve as "best dogs."

Following the ceremony, a cocktail hour and reception honoring the newlyweds was held at St. Anne's Parish Hall in Alpena. Pre-nuptial parties included a rehearsal dinner at the 19th Hole in Alpena.

The couple travelled to London, England and Paris, France for their honeymoon and are currently making their home in Zion Crossroads, Va., where William is employed by Augusta Health as a pharmacist, and Natalie is employed as a laboratory scientist at University of Virginia Hospital, in Charlottesville, Va.
