For nearly a year now, we've been bombarded with anti-bridge advertisements. Matty Moroun, the Detroit billionaire who owns the Ambassador Bridge from Detroit to Windsor, has spent tens of millions of dollars in ads and to get Proposal 6 on the ballot. If the new bridge is such a money loser, why does Mr. Moroun want to build a bridge of his own? Canada has offered to pay Michigan's portion of the state-built bridge because Mr. Moroun's proposed bridge will run through and destroy a Windsor residential area.
Mr. Moroun is a slumlord who owns hundreds of Detroit properties that he has neglected for years. Google "Detroit man found frozen Matty Moroun" to see one example. Mr. Moroun is nothing more than a vulture.
If Proposal 6 passes, he stands to make hundreds of millions in profits.
