The religion of the country and constitution

October 30, 2012
The Alpena News

Another school in trouble for using our freedom of religion to pray at activities. Where I attended grade school, I was the only Catholic, the teacher led a prayer every morning. My parents told me I didn't have to say the prayer, but should stand and show respect. It didn't hurt me one bit, in fact it helped me to understand and respect other religions. When did they change the wording in the constitution, I thought it was freedom of religion, not from religion.

Mr. Biden, you made a very interesting statement about being against abortion, but won't force your belief on anyone, does that mean if you saw someone stealing or about to murder someone, you believe it's wrong, but let it happen because you would not force your beliefs on others? Sorry but you can't have it both ways. Your mouth is saying one thing, but your actions are saying another. Is that the way we want our country run, we voters have to decide which way to go.
