Recent actions confirm need for recall

October 25, 2012
The Alpena News

I believe now more than ever that going through with the recall was the right thing to do. The defense against the recall has been petulant and weak. It's bewildering why Mr. Nunneley would attack the League of Women Voters by calling the forum a "witch hunt." This comment is specious and comes way after the fact. He asks for names of League members and expects that they be called out for signing petitions as if by joining the League, they give up all political action rights.

Why list names of people on Facebook and other websites as leaders of the recall when they clearly are not?

Another obfuscation is using the very obvious "omission" trick when quoting someone, ie., On his ballot defense leaving out vital facts which mislead the reader as in Mr. Nunneley's quotes from Judge LaCross and former mayor Carol Shafto.

I urge you to study both sides of the recall issue and vote for moving our city forward with ethical, reasonable, and honest representation.
