BAUER, Leo Virgil, 81, of Alpena, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at Turning Brook after battling Alzheimer's.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian; children, Craig (Maureen) of Traverse City, Michael of Alpena, Pamela (Wayne) Van Dyke of Spruce, and Timothy (Lauri) of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; grandchildren Kelly, Kayla, Michael, Ashley, Sara, Miles, Effie, Ammie, Alexander, and Jacob; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald (Veronica) of Elizabethtown, Ky.; brother-in-law, Thomas (Dolores) Adamski of Alpena; and many nieces and nephews.
He is at the Bannan Funeral Home where family and friends may call on Friday from 2-8 p.m. with a VFW service at 5 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. James Fitzpatrick officiating.
