Alpena Friends and residents:
It's such a shame that this city does not help support when something is happening in the city.
For a week I had seen a sign at the Mall that there would be a pet expo today. So my husband (who is in a wheelchair), our rescue dog Spike and myself loaded up in the van for what we thought would be a few hours of seeing pets and finding out information about them.
Well it took all of 10 minutes to see it all.
Many kudos to Switzer vet clinic, the Humane Society and the man who is going to open a pet store at the mall. They were the only ones there.
I am sure there were more that could have set up tables.
Imagine what it must look like to out of towners. Looks like Alpena is a dying city.
