Public needs to keep voicing their concerns

September 28, 2012
The Alpena News

On Sept. 14, 2012, I wrote a letter to the Editor requesting that the local residents of Wilson Township near the Old Bolen Pit site to be present at the next meeting scheduled for Sept. 25, 2012. Since then, The Elmer's Team has asked for some additional time to consider moving forward. Hopefully, Team Elmer's is using this time to consider other locations for the asphalt plant.

The meeting has been rescheduled for Oct. 30, 2012, to review the proposed permit. So until then, the community members are encouraged to continue voicing their opinions and concerns regarding the proposed permit for this location. As a community we need to continue to work on being involved and protecting our great neighborhood.
