HILLMAN The Hillman football team lost a well-played game against Marlette 39-0 on Friday night at Hillman High School.
Hillman Coach Bill Koenig was fairly happy depsite the loss against the No. 6 team in Division 7. He said the score did not reflect the way the Tigers played and he had no major disappointments.
Atlanta 48, Hale 12
ATLANTA The Atlanta football team improved to 3-1 with a 48-12 win over Hale in a North Star League matchup on Friday night.

Traverse City West 28
TRAVERSE CITY-The Alpena JV football team improved to 3-1 with a 46-28 victory over Traverse City West on Thursday.
Tyler Pintar accounted for seven touchdowns including five through the air as the Wildcats totaled more than 500 yards of offense.
Pintar had more than 300 yards passing and hooked up with Josh Bell on touchdowns of 35, 50, 65 and 70 yards. Bell finished with more than 250 reception yards to go with his four scores.
Jay Dutcher had an eight-yard touchdown catch for a score and Pintar added two touchdowns on the ground, one of which was 70 yards, along with 100 yards rushing.
In the backfield, Ben Manning rushed for more than 125 yards and up front the Wildcats' offensive line was solid all night.
Shane Trafalet led Alpena's defense with several big hits and other top tacklers included Dutcher, Bell, Brandon Hauff and Dylan Hoes.
Alpena hosts Gaylord next Thursday.
