Why is logo displayed for closed organization?

The Alpena News

I always enjoy reading the "Just for Kids" page in the Saturday edition of The Alpena News, but I don't understand why the logo for Thunder Bay Reading Council continues to be displayed there. Years ago, a member of TBRC was responsible for collecting writings to be published each week; but since the Reading Council is no longer active, I'm wondering who collects the writings now? I'd like to thank whomever is responsible for continuing the practice of showcasing students' writings, but feel it's inappropriate to credit an organization that, at least to my knowledge, is no longer in existence.
