BAY CITY- The Alpena boys tennis team defeated Bay City Central on Thursday, 6-2, winning all four doubles matches and losing one match due to forfeit.
Abram Purol won at first singles 6-0 and 6-1. Andre Gagnon won 6-1 and 6-3 at second singles and Aaron DeCaire lost at third singles 5-7 and 4-6.
Alpena lost at fourth singles due to a forfeit.
At first doubles Samyak Harsh and Noah Barney-Steinke won 6-1 and 6-2. Wyatt Hanna and Xander Goren picked up a win at second doubles 7-6 and 6-0. At third doubles Ben Goren and Parker Wedge won 6-2 and 6-4 and David Resnick and Patrick Connon rounded out the Alpena sweep at fourth doubles, winning 6-2 and 6-4.
