THOMPSON, Roy E., 79, of Alpena died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012, at Tendercare Alpena.
He is survived by his wife, June; four children, David (Sandra) of Alpena, Laura (Benny) Hescott, Debbie Kellogg, and Beatrice (Tim) Hildebrant, all of Bridgeport; two stepchildren, Jackie (David) Leavesley of Alpena, and Robert Demski of Charlotte, N.C.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lila (Bob) Brilinski, Doris (Claude) England, and Mary Obuchowski, all of Alpena; daughter-in-law, Chris Thompson of Saginaw; sister-in-law, Sharon Thompson.
Memorial visitation will take place on Monday at the Bannan Funeral Home from 2 p.m. until time of memorial service at 7 p.m. with Rev. Shirley Jones-Ross officiating.
