When I go to vote, I look for independent thinkers and leaders. I do not want someone who will just follow the party line and vote the way that they are told to. That is why I am voting for Pete Hoekstra in the upcoming Primary on Aug. 7. When President Bush was pushing to pass the "No Child Left Behind" act, it was Congressman Hoekstra who stood up as the lone Republican voice and said no. He knew that it was the wrong way to address the education issues in our country. Pete Hoekstra believes that decisions on education belong in local hands, not the federal government. He knows that local folks know what is best for their communities, not an out of control bureaucracy.
On Aug. 7, I will be voting for an independent voice in D.C., a man who will stand up against the status quo and party leadership and vote for our interests. Please join me in voting for Pete Hoekstra on Aug. 7.
