A huge congratulations to Kurt Golder (Head Men's Gymnastics Coach at the University of Michigan), John Geddert and his wife Kathryn (Head Gymnastics Coach at Twistars USA Gymnastics Club - Lansing, Michigan). John, Kathryn and Kurt on Sunday, July 1, each had one of their gymnasts named to the 2012 United States Olympic Gymnastics Team and will represent the United States at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Kurt and John were gymnasts at Alpena High School in Alpena in the late 60s and 70s and were coached by Jack Discher and Ray Timm. Kathryn was on the Alpena High School Girls gymnastics team during the same time period.
Kurt, John and Kathryn ...Congratulations. You are all terrific. You are all wonderful representatives of Alpena and are certainly to be admired. Alpena can be very proud of you and your accomplishments. The best to you in London at the 2012 Olympic Games. Wow.
