GOP’s mistreatment will catch up to them

July 5, 2012
The Alpena News

It's appalling, the state house Republicans wouldn't let Democrat Rep. Lisa Brown or Barb Byrum speak or debate over new abortion regulations because they use the "Vagina." I guess women should be silenced when GOP men regulate abortions for women? To add insult to injury, the GOP thinks women are too dumb to know what is good for them and I hope they remember that this November. Anti-choice politicians, who claim that they want limited government - except when it comes to a woman's right to choose. The hypocrisy is outrageous. We want to see the United States in good hands - not run by radical, rich, obstinate Republicans who have declared war on women, the middle class, low-income families and minorities. They are also trying to suppress voters and even want to outlaw birth control with idiotic nonsense. They have the gall to say they support family values.

Mitt Romney calls budget committee chairman Paul Ryans, R. Wis. budget plan "marvelous." That calls for another $4.6 trillion in tax cuts, largely for the wealthiest Americans and one-fourth of the house GOP spending cuts comes from programs directly benefiting the poor, such as Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, food stamps, the social services block grants and a child tax credit so they can protect the wealthy and the pentagon budget. Again, thanks to the GOP, you are not only destroying unions but also the middle class, teachers, police officers and fire fighters because of money. If money is the mother's milk of politics (and it is), then the oil and coal industries are the biggest mothers on the block. They own our political system lock, stock and sleazebag. Yeah, Republicans look out this November.
