Kristen L. Boyk and Bradley E. Smith exchanged their wedding vows Nov. 12, 2011 at Grand Volute in Lowell. Rev. James D. Erickson officiated the 6 p.m. double-ring ceremony on the grand staircase.

The bride is the daughter of Jacinta Boyk and the late John Boyk of Alpena. The groom is the son of Deborah Smith and the late William Smith of Alpena.

Attending the bride as maids of honor were her friends, Laura Lamp and Ashley Wallen. Bridesmaids were Staci Zalewski, cousin of the bride, and Kari Gustafson, friend of the bride. Attending the groom as best man was his brother, Jeff Smith. Groomsmen were Brian Jones and Ryan Decaire, friends of the groom.

Following the ceremony, a reception in honor of the newlyweds was held at Kensington Ballroom at Grand Volute. The rehearsal dinner was at Smokey Bones in Grand Rapids.

Kristen is a graduate of Central Michigan University and will obtain a Master's of Business Management in July. She is employed by University of Phoenix. Bradley is currently completing a Bachelor of Science in Management and expects to graduate in spring 2013. He is employed at Village Motor Sports as a E-commerce supervisor.

The couple spent their honeymoon in Riviera Maya, Mexico. They are residing in Kentwood.
