Bobbi Jo Suchey and Nick Lawrence were married Oct. 15, 2011. They exchanged their wedding vows with family and friends at the First Presbyterian Church in Alpena.

The mother of the bride, Mary Jo Skiba, lives in Presque Isle with her husband, Hank. Father of the bride, Bob Suchey, lives in Vanderbilt with his wife, Linda. Mother of the groom, Iris Lawrence, resides in Oscoda. Father of the groom, Dick Lawrence, lives in Elba.

Attending the bride as maid of honor was her sister, Anna Suchey, along with Amy (Ilsley) Lown, Dana LaMacchia, Ginger (Davis) Powell, Celia Lawrence and flower girl, Eva Suchey. Attending the groom was best man Nate Kindt, Carl Stover, Jason Faber, Mike Schiller and John Hamilton.

Following the ceremony, a dinner and reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Alpena, which was decorated with red and orange leaves, pumpkins, grapevine and curly willow. Guests were entertained by Elite Audio & Lighting as well as the bands, Polka Riot and Judy and her Suchey Brothers.

Bobbi and Nick met in junior high school and were an inseparable couple by high school graduation. During college, they parted and each explored life and careers. Eight years later, their friendship rekindled and they were back where they belonged, happily planning their lives together.

Bobbi holds a Bachelor's Degree in Commercial Recreation from Central Michigan University and is employed at Cherry Capital Cadillac Subaru in Traverse City. Nick works for Collier Construction.

The couple spent their honeymoon in Red Rock Canyon, Nev.
