Lisa Jean Slominski and Todd Eric Hayes exchanged their wedding vows Sept. 17, 2011 in Lake Lanier Islands, Ga. Rev. Pat Cammarata officiated the 5:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Dorothy and the late Ronald Slominski of Alpena. The groom is the son of Dallas and Susan Hayes of Hampton, Ga.
Attending the bride as maid of honor was her sister, Kristy Slominski. Bridesmaids were Jessica Slominski, sister of the bride; Payal Seth, friend of the bride; and Amanda Brandone, friend of the bride. Attending the groom as best man was his friend, John Glidewell. Groomsmen were Robert Hayes, brother of the groom; Chris Culp, friend of the groom; and Scott Hendrix, friend of the groom. Junior attendants were Ian and Brynna Smith, friends of the bride. Serving as the ring bearer was Ari Smith, nephew of the groom.
Following the lake-side ceremony, an outdoor reception was held in honor of the newlyweds.
Lisa is a 2001 graduate of Alpena High School. She received a Ph.D. in developmental psychology from the University of Michigan and currently works as a postdoctoral research fellow at Emory University and psychology professor at Spelman College and Morehouse College in Atlanta, Ga. Todd received an MBA from Georgia State University and is currently the manager of data management systems at Piedmont Healthcare in Atlanta, Ga.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Kauai, Hawaii. They are making their home in Atlanta.
