"Falling Water IX" by artist E.P. Lewandowski has been selected for the Colored Pencil Society of America Great Explorations Award for Exceptional Achievement in this year's Explore This! 8 Exhibition. The show is one of two international events sponsored by the CPSA.
Juror Jane Allen Nodine, a professor of art and director of the Curtis R. Harley Art Gallery at the University of South Carolina Upstate, said Lewandowski's "Falling Water IX" captured the ambiguity of reflection, transparency and motion in the rushing waters of a stream.
In recognition of the award the CPSA has issued the artist an Award Certificate, a cash award and the opportunity to be one of the top three award winners on display this summer at the 20th Annual CPSA International Exhibition this summer in Covington, Ky.
