Meagen Lynn Powell and Christopher David Lane exchanged their wedding vows Aug. 20, 2011 at the Alpena Free Methodist Church. Pastor Shane Bengry officiated the 4 p.m. double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Jan Powell of Alpena and Ronald McArdle of East Tawas, and the granddaughter of Bonnie Rembowski. The groom is the son of Patrick and Pamela Lane of Alpena, and the grandson of Evelyn Lane.

Attending the bride as matron of honor was her friend, Phyllis Gagnon of Alpena. Bridesmaids were Amy Bosler and Cora Hewitt, friends of the bride, and Crystal Lane, sister of the groom. The couple's daughter, Madison, served as the flower girl.

Attending the groom as best man was his brother, Chad Lane. Groomsmen were Ryan McArdle, Randy McArdle and Logan Powell, brothers of the bride. Nicholas McPherson served as the ring bearer. Ushers were Bonnie Rembowski and Ryan Rembowski.

Following the ceremony, a reception in honor of the newlyweds was held at VFW Post 2496.

Meagen is a 2005 graduate of Phoenix High School in Lincoln, Calif. Christopher is a 2002 graduate of Alpena High School and is employed by Milstein Enterprises and Komo's Pizzeria.

The newlyweds are making their home in Alpena.
