Emily Kitchen and Daniel Merrill exchanged their wedding vows Oct. 29, 2011, in a 3 p.m. double-ring ceremony at the Common Ground Community Church in Grand Rapids.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Joanne Kitchen of Shelby. The groom is the son of Paula Merrill and Joseph Merrill of Alpena.
Attending the bride as maid of honor was her sister, Carrie VanDuinen. Her bridesmaid was her friend, Erica Flaherty.
Attending the groom as best man was his brother, Curtis Merrill. His groomsmen was his friend, Al Stoll.
Following the ceremony, an intimate reception was held in honor of the newlyweds at the Donnelly Center at Aquinas College.
Emily is a graduate of Kendal College of Art and Design. Daniel is a graduate of Grand Valley State University and is employed by Spartan Stores as administrative assistant and analyst to the vice president at Spartan Corporate Headquarters. They are residing in Grand Rapids.
