Stefanie Jean Stepanski and Ramnik Singh exchanged their wedding vows Aug. 20, 2011, at the Sikh Center of Orange County in Santa Ana, Calif. The wedding followed traditional Punjabi customs, with pre-wedding events beginning Aug. 18.
The bride is the daughter of Joseph and Karen Stepanski of Alpena. The groom is the son of Shamsher and Ravinder Singh of New Delhi, India.
Following the ceremony was a lunch offered by the Singh/Stepanski families at the Sikh Temple in Santa Ana. On the evening of Aug. 20, a reception was held at Pacific Hills Banquet Hall in Laguna Hills, Calif. A second wedding reception was held Sept. 17 at the St. Anne's Parish Center in Alpena.
Stefanie is a 2001 graduate of Alpena High School, a 2006 graduate of Michigan State University and a 2010 graduate of Southern California University of Health Sciences with a Doctorate in Chiropractic and a Masters Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
Ramnik is a 1993 graduate of University High in Irvine, Calif., a 1998 graduate of the University of California Irvine and a 2002 graduate of St. George's University School of Medicine on the Island of Grenada in the Caribbean. Ramnik is currently the medical director of pain management and rehabilitation at a private practice in Irvine, Calif. The couple resides in Mission Viejo, Calif.
