Lauren Pollard and Travis Bowen, both of Grand Rapids, announce their engagement.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Tim and Donna Pollard of Alpena. The future groom is the son of Tim and Peggy Ortwine of Brighton, and Craig Bowen of Elk Rapids.
Lauren is a 2008 graduate of Alpena High School and will graduate in 2012 from Grand Valley State University with a degree in elementary education. Travis is a 2008 graduate of Brighton High School and also will graduate in 2012 from Grand Valley State University with a degree in biomedical sciences.
