Sarah Hoppe and Jeremy Johnson exchanged their wedding vows June 4, 2011, at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Alpena. Rev. Richard Hotchin officiated the 1 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Cathy and Louis Hoppe. The groom is the son of Jean and Denise Johnson.

Attending the bride as maid of honor was her sister, Jamie Talaski. Bridesmaids were Jessica Johnson, Alison Johnson, Katy VanScholten, Tatum Jennings, Sara Faulman and Sarah Bosley. Attending the groom as best man was his brother, Jacob Johnson. Groomsmen were Curtis Hall, Jessie O'Neil, Gabriel Kaiser, Nathen Letourneau and Alan Talaski. A single rose was carried by Tatum Jennings to represent beloved friend, Nicholus P. Marshal. Ring bearers were Allen Johnson and Ethan Johnson, nephews. Serving as ushers were Steven Shea and Benjimen Nowakowski.

Following the ceremony, a reception in honor of the newlyweds was held at the APlex.

Sarah received training as a physical therapist assistant from Pima Medical Institute and as a yoga instructor from Shoshoni Institute. She is employed by Alpena Regional Medical Center and Bay Athletic Club. Jeremy earned a machine tool degree from Ferris State University and is employed by Denny's Painting.

The couple spent their honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico, and are residing in Alpena.
