Emilie Sweet and Andrew Haley of Omaha, Neb., announce their engagement.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Phil and Maureen Sweet of Alpena. The future groom is the son of Mike and Kathy Haley of Worthington, Ohio.
Emilie is a 2003 graduate of Alpena High School, a 2007 graduate of Michigan State University and a 2009 graduate of University of Wisconsin-Madison with a master's degree in communication disorders. She is employed by Boys Town National Research Hospital as a speech-language pathologist.

Andrew is a 2002 graduate of Thomas Worthington High School and a 2007 graduate of Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. He is employed by Kiewit Australia as a mechanical engineer.
The couple will exchange their wedding vows May 19, 2012, at Faith Lutheran Church in Livonia.
