The 67th annual Iris Show is coming to Alpena. It will be presented by the Mio Irisarians, an affiliate of the American Iris Society.
Admission is free and there is no charge to enter your own iris stocks in show. Featured will be an iris rhizome sale, prizes for kids and refreshments for guests.
This record-setting event is the longest consecutive Iris Show in the world. It will be held this Saturday at Word of Life Church, 1900 N. Bagley.

Entries into the show will be accepted from 7 to 10 a.m. The show is closed to any visitors during judging hours from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is open to the public from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Over 200 stalks of irises from every spectrum of the rainbow will be on display as well as artistic designs focusing on this favorite flower. The theme of the show's design section is "The World's Favorite Islands."
