Meg Grube of Elmhurst, Ill., and Darren Donakowski of Downers Grove, Ill., announce their engagement.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Steve and Julie Grube of Glen Ellyn, Ill. The future groom is the son of Jerry and Mary Donakowski of Alpena.
Meg is a 2003 graduate of Glenbard South High School in Glen Ellyn, Ill., and a 2007 graduate of Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Spanish. She is currently employed by McMaster-Carr Supply Co. in accounting.

Darren is a 2002 graduate of Alpena High School, a 2004 graduate of Alpena Community College with an Associate's Degree in Science and a 2008 graduate of Ferris State University with a Bachelor of Science in HVACR Engineering and a minor in marketing and sales. He is employed by AMS Mechanical as a project engineer.
The couple will exchange their wedding vows Oct. 29, 2011, at St. James Apostle Catholic Church in Glen Ellyn, Ill.
