Dr. Melissa Horoschak and Dr. Melburne (Melbs) LeMieux exchanged their wedding vows May 7, 2010, at 2 p.m. in a double-ring ceremony. The wedding and reception took place in an all-day event at The Thomas Fogarty Winery, nestled in the Santa Cruz Mountains on Skyline Boulevard in Woodside, Calif. The couple exchanged their vows on a perfectly sunny day in the presence of 100 close friends and family on the lawn overlooking San Francisco Bay.
The bride is the daughter of Ellen Horoschak of Shenandoah, Pa., and Peter and Sue Horoschak of Allentown, Pa. The groom is the son of Mick and Barbara LeMieux of Alpena.
Serving as attendants for the ceremony were the best man, Ben LeMieux, brother of the groom, and the maid of honor, Alexis Kreisl, sister of the bride.
Additional groomsmen were James Wilson, Nathan Sweet, Jared Kaiser, Casper Wurtsmith and Ajay Virkar. Additional bridesmaids/men were Steve Minear, Jess Hall, Stephanie Klaus and Alison LeMieux. The junior groomsman was Henry Kreisl, III, and the junior bridesmaid was Julia Kreisl.
Melissa is a 1998 graduate of Hazleton Area High School, received her BS from MIT, and her MD from Stanford University in 2009. She is employed by University of Chicago Hospitals. Melbs is a 1996 graduate of Alpena High School, attended Western Michigan University, and received his PhD from Iowa State University in 2006. He co-founded and is employed by C3Nano, Inc. in Hayward, Calif.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Thailand, and are residing in Chicago.
