Amanda Soderberg and Jared Tabor of Romulus announce their engagement.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Harold and Jane Kowalski of Alpena and the daughter of Diane and the late Robert Soderberg of Romulus. Her fiance is the son of Martin Kailimai and Pamela Tabor of Belleville.
Amanda is a 2002 graduate of Belleville High School and studied psychology at the University of Michigan and social work at Eastern Michigan University.

Jared attended Belleville High School and studied culinary arts at Schoolcraft Community College. He is employed by Applebee's Neighborhood Grill and plans to continue his study of culinary arts.
The couple will exchange their wedding vows and celebrate their union on Jan. 28, 2012, at Crystal Gardens in Southgate.
