Youngblood 50th

Jim and Joan Youngblood of 4049 Racoon Trail, Lincoln, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 16, 2011, with the renewal of their wedding vows and mass given by Rev. Msgr. James H. Murray of Denville, N.J., and Deacon Michael Arnold of Kawkawlin at Lost Lake Woods Club in Lincoln.

The ceremony was followed by a dinner and reception sponsored by their children. Over 160 friends and family attended. Music was provided by the Gus Morris band of West Bloomfield.

The couple's children are Diane and (Kevin) Donlon of Englewood, Fla., Michael and (Cheryl) Youngblood of Bloomfield, Minn., Mark and (Julie) Youngblood of Livonia and Lynn Youngblood of Woodland. A member of the family also in attendance was John LaFranier of York, Pa.

In addition to their children, the couple has six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Jim Youngblood and the former Joan Polkinghorne were married on April 22, 1961, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Detroit, with the Rev. Thomas Duffy officiating.
