Risa Tritt and John Florip, both of Fredericksburg, Va,, announce their engagement.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Jim and Stephanie Tritt of Bedford, Pa. Her fiance is the son of Jim and Ann Florip of Alpena.
Risa is a 1997 graduate of Bedford High School in Pennsylvania and a 2001 graduate of Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina, earning a degree in elementary education. She received a master's degree in educational leadership and administration in 2008 from the University of Mary Washington. Risa is employed as a seventh grade science teacher in Fredericksburg, Va.

John is a 2002 graduate of Alpena High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Michigan, earning a degree in secondary education. He is employed as a seventh grade social studies teacher, also in Fredericksburg.
The couple will exchange their wedding vows Aug. 20, 2011, at Bedford Presbyterian Church in Bedford, Pa.
