Herbert and Shirley Hopp observed their 50th wedding anniversary on April 8. They planned to have a celebration with family and friends.
The couple was married in Detroit on April 8, 1961. They have three children: Carl (Patty) Hopp, Martha (Rob) Ohler and Dan (Kari) Hopp. Their six grandchildren are Nick, Rachel, Daniel, Brandon, Julie and Michael.
