Darcie Scheller of Alpena and Chad Brown of Sterling Heights announce their engagement.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Larry Scheller of Alpena and Denise and Steve McDonald of Onaway. Her fiance is the son of Patricia and Emery Brown of Sterling Heights.
Darcie is a 1998 graduate of Alpena High School and a 2006 graduate of Spring Arbor University with a bachelor's degree in social work. She is employed by Lutheran Child and Family Service in Gaylord as a foster care licensing worker/case worker.

Chad is a 1996 graduate of Utica Henry Ford II High School. He graduated from Kirtland Community College from Police Academy in 2005. He is employed with Montmorency County Sheriff's Office as a sheriff's deputy working in the schools as a DARE/school resource officer. He is also a volunteer fire fighter for Tri-Township Fire Department.
They will exchange their wedding vows May 21, 2011, at Clear Lake State Park.
