Misia Howell and Aaron Bruski exchanged their wedding vows Sept. 4 in a 5 p.m. double-ring ceremony. The destination wedding took place in Kauai, Hawaii.
The bride is the daughter of Annette and Earl Monks of Lyons, and Roy and Annette Howell of Fayetteville, N.C. The groom is the son of Allison and Tom Gilbertson of Alpena, and Conrad and Cyndi Bruski, also of Alpena.
Serving as ring bearers for the ceremony were Eric Bruski, brother of the groom, and Jessie Howell, brother of the bride.
Following their wedding, a reception in honor of the newlyweds was held at Wainea Plantation in Kauai, Hawaii.
Misia is a 1998 graduate of Lakeview High School and attended Michigan State University. She is employed by Genentech. Aaron is a 1997 graduate of Alpena High School and attended Lansing Community College. He is employed by Fatbox Films.
They couple spent their honeymoon in Kona, Hawaii. They are residing in Belmont, Calif.
