Sarah Rebecca Werner and Adam Cameron Shell exchanged their wedding vows June 26 at Hoeft State Park on the shore of Lake Huron in Rogers City. Rev. Timothy Jahn officiated the 2 p.m. double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of David and Claudia Werner of Alpena. The groom is the son of Cynthia Shell of Flint and Ronald Shell of Ohio.
Attending the bride as matron of honor was her friend, Nicole Croak. Bridesmaids were Caroline Freitag and Julie Palmieri, friends of the bride. Attending the groom as best man was his brother, Andrew Shell. Groomsmen Aaron Shell, brother of the groom, and Aaron Werner, brother of the bride.
Following the ceremony, a reception in honor of the newlyweds was held at the Hoeft State Park Pavilion. A rehearsal dinner also took place at Hoeft State Park.
Sarah received a Bachelor's Degree from Hope College and a Master's Degree from Wayne State University. She is employed by the University of Michigan Medical Center as a social worker. Adam attended University of Michigan. He is employed at a construction company in Ann Arbor.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Jamaica. They are residing in Ann Arbor.
