Emily Marie Wineland and Aaron David Werner exchanged their wedding vows Sept. 5 in Lake of the Woods Chapel at Camp Michi-lu-ca in Lewiston. Pastor Reed Schroer officiated the 3:30 p.m. double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Karen and Richard Wineland of Chelsea. The groom is the son of David and Claudia Werner of Alpena.
Attending the bride as maid of honor was her college friend, Carol Johnson. Bridesmaids were Erin Tuttle, college friend of the bride; Sarah Shell, sister of the groom; and Katie Calcamugqio, cousin of the bride. Attending the groom as best man was his seminary and high school friend, Jesse Christopherson. Groomsmen were Colin Grangaard, friend of the groom; Max Wineland, brother of the bride; and Chad Bock, cousin of the groom.
Following the ceremony, a reception in honor of the newlyweds was held in the Red Pine Lodge at Camp Michi-lu-ca. A rehearsal dinner took place at the same location.
Emily graduated from Hope College and received a Master's Degree in Theology from Pacific Lutheran Seminary in California. Aaron graduated from Michigan State University and received a Master's Degree in Theology from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minn. Both are employed at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids.
The newlyweds spent their honeymoon at Roatan in the Bay Islands, Honduras. They are residing in Grand Rapids.
