Heather Brooks and Eric Martin exchanged their wedding vows July 10 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Alpena.
The bride is the daughter of Mike and Melissa Brooks of 787 E. Spruce Rd., Spruce, and Ben and Phyllis Muzljakovich of Allenton. The groom is the son of Dave and Sue Martin of 3172 Long Rapids Rd., Alpena.
Attending the bride as maid of honor was her cousin, Nicole Oliver. Bridesmaids were Victoria Smith and Tara Lang, friends of the bride; Jennifer Makowske, cousin of the bride; Abbey Brooks and Samantha Brooks, sisters of the bride, and Stephanie Martin, sister of the groom. Attending the groom as best man was his cousin, Spence Kendziorski. Groomsmen were Brent Kendziorski and Adam Thompson, cousins of the groom; Nathan Makowske, cousin of the bride; Dusty Cramer, friend of the groom; and Ben Muzljakovich and Brandon Muzljakovich, brothers of the bride. The flower girl and ring bearer were Sydney Lochocki and Luke Kendziorski, both cousins. Serving as ushers were Adam Zolnerick and John Bygden.
Following the ceremony, a reception in honor of the newlyweds was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Alpena, where the rehearsal dinner also took place.
Heather graduated from Spring Arbor University in 2009 with a degree in elementary education and early childhood. She is employed by Bingham Arts Academy. Eric graduated from Alpena Community College with a utility technician certificate and an Associate's Degree. He is employed by Perch's IGA.
The newlyweds are residing in Alpena. They took a honeymoon trip to Mt. Rushmore, Badlands National Park, Yellow Stone National Park and Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
