Franz A. and Lorain Schultz of Alpena recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. About 60 friends and family members attended a picnic held in their honor Aug. 21 at Sandra's Hunting Camp.
Sharing in the celebration were three members of the original wedding party, including bridesmaids Eveyln (Kautz) Fisk, Gertrude (Schultz) Thiem and Hertha (Schultz) Ferguson.
Mr. Schultz and the former Lorain Bartz were married Aug. 19, 1950, at Salem Lutheran Church in Hubbard Lake. They have two children, Lyle C. (Elaine) Schultz and Sandra (David) Stonik. They also have four grandchildren, Billie of Richmond, Va.; Lyle R. (Cassie) of Beaver, Pa.; Tony (Cassie) of Akron, Ohio; and Robert (Robby) of Northville.
