Karl Nensewitz and the former Alta Gagnon were married 66 years ago in Pensacola, Fla., on July 31, 1944.
They have five children: Ann and Tom Neumann, Lynne and Peter Skiba, Jill Nensewitz of Alpena, Marie and and Mary Nensewitz of Lakewood, Colo.
The couple also has eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Grandchildren include Tim and Amber Neumann of Rockford, Jeff Neumann of Scottsdale, Ariz., Peter Skiba of Florida, Greg and Keri Skiba of Indiana, Karl Skiba of Clinton Township, Melissa and Jeff Krajnik of Lake Ann, Tricia Staton of Houghton and R.J. Nensewitz of Alpena. Great-grandchildren are Justin and Luke Krajnik, Kate Neumann and Trevor Nensewitz.
