Merushjola Hazma and Bradley Allen Mousseau exchanged their wedding vows June 21, 2009, at Selfridge ANG Base. Pastor Paulus Obey officiated the 1 p.m. double-ring ceremony. The couple also had a destination wedding on their first anniversary in Albania with the bride's family and friends.
The bride is the daughter of Lavdim Hazma and Andoneta Hazma of Korca, Albania. The groom is the son of Judy and Mark Stevens of Alpena and the late Ronald Mousseau.
Attending the bride as maid of honor was her best friend, Rachel Vermeesch. Bridesmaids were Lena Moretz and Jessica Perry, friends of the bride, and Valbona Dorling and Alda Ilias, cousins of the bride. The flower girl was Karlee Dunton, their neighbor's daughter.
Attending the groom as best man was his best friend, Thad Phelps. Groomsmen were Shawn Bartz, Harold Cramer, Brad Vermeesch and Adam Ritter, friends of the groom. Junior groomsman was Carter McKee, the groom's son. Serving as an usher was Jeremiah Phelps.
Following the ceremony, a reception honoring the newlyweds was held at the Vintage House in Fraser. A rehearsal dinner took place at the same location.
Jola graduated from Baker College as an EMT and is employed as a financial manager for the U.S. Air Force. Brad received an Associate's Degree in emergency medical services/paramedic from Davenport College and is employed by Medstar Ambulance in Clinton Township.
The couple spent their honeymoon at Sandal's Grande, Ocho Rios, Jamaica. They are residing in Utica.
