Nicole Kathleen Martell and Ryan Christopher Moran exchanged their wedding vows June 5 at Garland Resort in Lewiston. Rev. Kathryn Montie officiated the 5 p.m. double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Susan and James Weeks (stepfather) and the late David Martell of Alpena. The groom is the son of Mike and Jenny Moran of Traverse City, formerly of Alpena.

Attending the bride were maid of honor Ashley Ross and bridesmaid Lisa Shultz. Attending the groom as best man was his brother, Michael Moran. Serving as ring bearer was Ryan's nephew, Joe. The flower girl was Ellie, Ryan's niece. Ushers included Charles and Justin Janeski, Nicole's uncle and cousin.

Following the ceremony, Popadamus entertained guests for cocktails followed by bagpipes played by John Meek that led guests through the resort to an outdoor reception held in honor of the newlyweds.

Nicole is a 2001 graduate of Alpena High School and currently holds a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University and a Master's in Public Health from University of Minnesota. She is currently a veterinarian practicing in Chesterfield, Ind. Ryan is a 1999 graduate of Alpena High School and holds a Bachelor's of Science in Integrative Public Relations from Central Michigan University. He is employed as a sales associate for Aunt Millie's in Indianapolis. They are currently residing in Fishers, Ind.
