Ashley Ann Allen and Michael Philip Collins exchanged their wedding vows Sept. 26, 2009. Rev. Scott Pfieffer officiated the 3:30 p.m. double-ring ceremony held outdoors at the River's Edge Golf Course in Alpena.
The bride is the daughter of Richard and Elissa Allen of Presque Isle. The groom is the son of Michael and Linda Collins of Alpena.
Attending the bride as maid of honor was her friend, Nicole Anderson. Bridesmaids were Kayla Dusterhoft and Brianna Allen, sisters of the bride; Corrie Smith, sister of the groom; and Sara Nowak, friend of the bride.
Attending the groom as best man was his life-long friend, James Wils. Groomsmen were Eric Repke, cousin of the groom; Jeremy Ryan, Mike McEwen and Casper Wurtsmith, friends of the groom. The ring bearer was Grady Smith, nephew of the groom. Serving as ushers were Jammie Allen and Daniel Allen, brothers of the bride.
Following the ceremony, a reception in honor of the newlyweds was held at the River's Edge Golf Course. A rehearsal dinner took place at the home of the groom's parents.
Ashley is a 2005 graduate of Alpena High School and will graduate in 2011 with an Associate's Degree in Applied Science, Medical Assistant. She is employed by PNC Bank. Michael is a 1996 AHS graduate and a 2000 graduate of Adrian College with a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science. He is employed by United Water.
The newlyweds spent their honeymoon in Gatlinburg, Tenn. and the Smokey Mountains. They are making their home in Alpena.
