On Sunday, July 11, family and friends of Ivan and Corinne Schaedig surprised the couple at their home with a party celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
Ivan and Corinne were married July 16, 1960, at St. John Lutheran Church in Rogers City by Rev. Robert Weller. They have three children, Scott Schaedig and Kris Reed of Alpena, Tim and Amy Schaedig of Kansas City, Mo. They have six grandchildren, Wesley and Mike Reed, Nathan Schaedig, Hayden, Tate and Sydney Schaedig.
On Tuesday evening, family and friends joined the couple for a steak dinner at the Fireside Inn in Grand Lake.
