Andrea Garant and Phil Weinkauf, both of Grand Rapids, announce their engagement.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Bill and Mary Garant of Alpena. Her fiance is the son of Jerry and Vicky Weinkauf of Presque Isle.
Andrea is a 2001 graduate of Alpena High School and a 2009 graduate of Grand Valley State University with a degree in Human Resource Management. She is currently employed at Lake Michigan Credit Union as the quality control/retail funding specialist team leader. Phil is a 2002 graduate of Alpena High School and a 2008 graduate of Grand Valley State University with a double major in Business and Marketing. He is currently employed at Ikon Office Solutions as a field service representative.
