Eugene R. and Dolores S. Jasman of Alpena celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on Friday.
Mr. Jasman and the former Dolores Losinski were married June 18, 1960, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Alpena, and had a brunch reception afterward at Twin Acres (now the 19th Hole). Their attendants at the wedding were matron of honor Rosemary Trelfa of Alpena, sister of the bride, and best man Daniel Jasman of Fredericksburg, Va., brother of the groom.
After more than 30 years of employment at Fletcher Paper Co., Eugene retired and is now a member of the Marine Corps League. Dolores is retired from Kmart and has volunteered for St. Mary's Church.
They have five children: William (Kyle) Jasman of Trenton, Cheryl (Andrew) Pozniak of Alpena, Julie (Kenneth) Quantz of Clinton Township, Jennifer (Steven) Sherman of Augusta, Ga., and Michael (Evonne) Jasman of Alpena. They have eight grandchildren: Amanda, Hanna, Edward and Zachary Quantz, all of Clinton Township; and Tabetha, Tairah, Rose and Raina Jasman, all of Alpena.
Their children and grandchildren are hosting a 50th anniversary party for family and friends at the Holiday Inn of Alpena.
