Jocelyn Stanifer and Timothy Harper exchanged their wedding vows May 15 at Alpena Free Methodist in Alpena. Pastor Shane Bengry officiated the 3:30 p.m. double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Jacqueline Stanifer of 920 Fifth Ave., Alpena. The groom is the son of Mary Parmelee of Del City, Okla., and Jerry Harper of Canton.
Attending the bride as matron of honor was her sister, Jennifer Miller. Bridesmaids were Natalie Geis, Karen Henke, Kristyn Wilder, Christa Hill and Kierstyn Hibner, all friends of the bride. Attending the groom as best man was his friend, Zachary Church. Groomsmen were Jeffrey Stanifer, brother of the bride; and Derek Alexander, Rob Keyes, Tyler Smith and Josh Carriveau, friends of the groom. Flower girls were Hannah Bengry, friend of the bride, and Charity Mahan, niece of the groom . Ring bearers were Jacob and Andrew Stanifer, sons of the bride's cousin. Serving as ushers were Jeffrey Stanifer and Rob Keyes.
Following the ceremony, a reception in honor of the newlyweds was held at Posen Community Center. A rehearsal dinner took place at JJ's Steak and Pizza House in Alpena.
Jocelyn has an Associates of Arts Degree from Alpena Community College and will be enrolled in the radiography program at Mid Michigan College in the fall. She is employed by Family Video. Timothy attended ACC and will also attend Mid Michigan College this fall. He is employed by Aloha Center, Inc.
The newlyweds took a honeymoon trip to Panama City, Fla. They are residing in Houghton Lake.
