Karen A. Misiak and Timothy LaFleche exchanged their wedding vows April 10 at the Thunder Bay Recreation Center in Alpena. Judge Michael Mack officiated the 5 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Marie and Tony Kendziorski of 1606 Long Rapids, Alpena, and Ronald and Joan Misiak of 2011 King Settlement, Alpena. The groom is the son of Merlin and Jacqueline LaFleche of Oliver Street, Alpena.
Attending the bride as matron of honor was her friend, Janelle Gluesing. Bridesmaids were Jamie Quick, Denise Chapman and Angie King, friends of the bride, and Courtney Smith, niece of the groom. The flower girl was Anna Misiak, niece of the bride. Attending the groom as best man was his cousin, Charlie Kendziorski. Groomsmen were Gene Northrup, Ryan Woodruff and Mark Tarsney, friends of the groom, and Justin Smith, nephew of the groom. The ring bearer was Evan Carlson, godchild of the bride.
Following the ceremony, a reception in honor of the newlyweds was held at the Thunder Bay Recreation Center. Pre-nuptial parties included a rehearsal dinner at JJ's Steakhouse in Alpena.
Karen has an Applied Science Degree from Alpena Community College and is employed by Alpena Alcona Area Credit Union. Timothy has a Bachelor's Degree from Michigan State University and is employed at State Farm Insurance.
The newlyweds spent their honeymoon on a Royal Caribbean Cruise and are planning a trip to Ireland in December with friends. They are residing in Alpena.
