New Day Singers to perform Friday

Thunder Bay Arts Council will present the New Day Singers in concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 727 S. Second.

This 11-12 member group consists of vocalists from the Northeast Michigan community. They always begin their concerts with "You Are the New Day" by John David from the King's Singers group.

All of the music for this concert will be done a capella and will contain a wide variety of music in an assortment of tempos, language and arrangements. The music will include madrigals, contemporary, sacred, spirituals and folk.

New Day Singers current members are: soprano Nancy Everett, Rosalyn Boyer and Karen Thompson; alto Marge Ilsley, Jeanne Rasmussen and Kaye Breckenridge; baritone Gary Dawley; bass Roger Baumgardner and Chuck Winters; tenor Dave Usher and Judy Case.

This concert is presented to the public free of charge with donations appreciated.
